Can I expect my child to improve his or hers overall behavior?

Definitely. One of the first changes you’ll notice in your child is his or her sociability. Especially with children 3-6 years old, they’ll learn how to cooperate with their training partners, follow directions from the instructor, respect and care for other students. One of the biggest changes in children’s behavior is their understanding of disciplined practice as a means to achieve a higher purpose. Students easily understand they need to work hard today in order to get their belt tomorrow and tend to transfer that understanding to goals at home and school.  Parents can find great Jiu-Jitsu analogies to make their children understand why and do certain things they may not see an immediate benefit.
